Our model of management

Choice of our legal statutes : the Cooperative Enterprise Ltd

We chose to create a Ltd Cooperative Enterprise, cooperative of employees in a sharing and exchange approach, and will to be part of the Solidary and Social Economy.

Public and Social Enterprises (mutual insurances, cooperatives, associations) are non-profit making, and their objective is the general interest or social utility.

Our purpose is to work in partnership with all the existing development players in France, Europe and the World, Solid'Action is a network platform to facilitate the involvement and commitment of all citizens in international solidarity.

Then, the choice of the cooperative statutes, between the associative field and the business world, seemed most appropriate.

The purpose of Solid'Action Ltd, Cooperative Enterprise is to become a Cooperative of Collective Interest (SCIC), strengthening and perpetuating the links with partners, all involved in the international solidarity and sustainable development : Associations, NGOs, Foundations, Companies, Institutions, Universities, Grandes Ecoles, Territorial Communities …

The choice of the domain name ‘www.solidaction.coop’ contributes to the promotion of the cooperative values via the Internet.

Gainfulness and individual non-profitability

Solid'Action chose transparency, with an economic model based on self-financing in both quality and ethics approach.

Our purpose is to create a reliable and active cooperative to be able and manage a sufficient volume of business to achieve financial autonomy, thanks to Solid'Action’s customers supporting the cooperative and its activities.

Financial management is going to be one of our priorities to guarantee the profitability, financial independence, and thus the sustainability of the cooperative, its actions and its partners. The tracking of relevance as well as the profitability of the projects and activities are an absolute priority.

We won’t be able to be efficient and support our partners if we are not reliable.

Solid'Action team chose to banish individual profit, given that there is no payment for dividends.

The profits will mostly be put back into the Cooperative Enterprise’s reserves in order to reinvest them in new projects and partnerships. The remaining profits will then be shared among the employees (whether they are partners or not) as a reward of their work.

At the end, this project must keep a human size to maintain a policy and objective-oriented assistance to the populations in Developing Countries.
